Glenn Macnamara - Director & Show Producer
Glenn, Scherwing's vocalist, has been a hit on the London circuit for a while now and can be seen regularly at venues in the Capital, most notably The 606 Club in Chelsea. Glenn found his voice at a young age and went on to train as an actor at the prestigious Guilford School Of Acting . His love for the style of Swing and Jazz as led him to play for many high profile people including Duke and Duchess of Wessex. Glenn's acting prowess has been receiving great reviews for his part of Chet Baker in' Speedball' at London Jazz Festival.
Matt Hobson - Director & Assistant MD
A professional drummer/percussionist by trade with many years experience. He spent a 9 year stint in HM Royal Marines Band Service, where he toured extensively and played many diverse places including the Desert Of Oman. Matt has played with many big names in the world of Big Band & Jazz genre including Ken Mackintosh, Don Lusher, Alan Downey, Derek Healey, Mark Nightingale, Tammy Weis, Gary Williams and many more. He is still only 29! ("Though fast
approaching 30!")

Swing Moderne is a seven piece band plus singer. The size can be increased up to 14 for those grander occasions.

The ‘Swing Easy’ Seven are a seven piece orchestra consisting of trumpet, trombone, tenor sax, baritone sax, piano, drums and bass. Arrangements are by Bob Eberhart (USA) Vocals are by Lyn Fairbanks.
With approximately 200 titles including slow and dreamy, easy swing, bounce and up-tempo as well as Latin styles. They also feature a number of medleys which are suitable for cocktails/dining.
They do not play rock or pop. In terms of presentation, they offer either black tie, or blue blazers with band-motif ties (or cravats) for a rather more informal American collegiate look. Their bandstands (a choice of styles, depending on the function) are from Humes and Berg in Chicago…all very trig and in good taste. Hey carry their own p.a. system.
If the venue requires it, they can supply their own platform and risers.
