Minstrels
Others services you may find of interest...
Dante Ferrara
No ordinary Elizabethan Minstrel...
Strolls in stunning 16th century costume.
Sings a dazzling array of beautiful period instruments.
Covers all types of Elizabethan entertainment as a soloist or with a package of diverse performers.
Entertainment for banquets and special events can vary enormously depending on the musicians chosen. With Dante Ferrara you are guaranteed genuine music and songs from the period on correct instruments.
A banquet for 70 guests might follow these suggestions...
As guests enter the venue: lively music on the hurdy gurdy with introductory entertainment from a jester. A short speech to welcome guests and announcement to dinner.
During the banquet: fanfares to introduce each course. Gentle background music on the lute, cittern, English bagpipes and colascione.
Between courses: Tricks and stunts by the jester interspersed with participatory songs by Dante, each more daring as the evening progresses. Dante can also organise other entertainers such as jesters, fire blowers, character actors and many more.
He can also advise on how to create the perfect atmosphere for your event.
Minstrels Gallery
Minstrels Gallery are a group of musicians specialising in medieval and renaissance music.
They perform in both contemporary and authentic period costume and play between us over 40 different early instruments.
Based around husband and wife team Tony and Jane, the group is often augmented by other regular players to form a trio, quartet or even a nine piece band.
They embrace music from the courts of Medieval Europe to the Palaces of Tudor England, from village festivities to the stage of William Shakespeare.
