Latin Salsa / Latin Jazz Band
Flexible sized band 4 - 7 musicians offering 2 x 50 minute sets
This Latin Salsa / Latin Jazz Band has become one of the sought after Salsa dance and Latin jazz bands on the London and UK scene today.
The musicians came together in 1999, inspired by traditional Cuban music in the Son style – the roots of Salsa. Merging their own unique styles of performance, the group created its own sound that combines the rhythms of Latin America with European harmony and the virtuosity of jazz. A combination which has resulted in compelling music for dancing and the concert stage.
Their musicians, who are from Europe and Latin America, have had an eclectic musical training with professional experiences to match, encompassing: Latin American, jazz, pop and classical music. As individuals this has led them to perform on tours in the UK and around the world with artists such as: Björk, Ricky Martin, The Ghana Dance Ensemble, Stewart Copeland (The Police), Ravi Shankar and at venues which include: Pizza on the Park, The 606 Club, The Royal Festival Hall, Glastonbury Festival, The Sydney Festival (Australia) and The National Theatres (London and Ghana).
Corporate Events
With a wealth of experience in providing corporate entertainment in London and regions around the country, This band offers a range of music from jazz to Latin. Whether as a subtle backdrop to a sophisticated dinner or for the more energised event with dancing, Riamba caters for all types of settings.
Dance instruction is an optional extra by one or more of our specially selected team of professional Salsa dancers - an experience that is sure to put all your guests in a real party spirit!

This band offers the ideal accompaniment for your special event. From gentle background music to more energetic dance-style such as Salsa, Samba and Swing. Perhaps you are a well-seasoned Salsa dancer and would like to try out your moves in good company, or maybe you wish to sip cocktails and sway to gentle Brazilian-style grooves; whatever your preference, this band is highly flexible and can meet your specific requirements.
Do you have a particular Latin-style song in mind that you would like to hear? Let us know in advance, and we will be happy to perform it for you.
Depending on the mood that you wish to create, we can be hired as a four-piece (vocals, piano, bass and drums), or if you would like a more augmented sound with extra percussionists and brass players, then up to an eight-piece is possible.
